Driven by meaningful impact, Alvia Systems started with climate change mitigation as a mission. With wildfires emitting around 1.76 billion tonnes of carbon globally, we understood that this problem does not only put people's lives at risk, but is also accelerating climate change, year over year.

 

As a team that is led by young engineers and innovators we are determined to help mitigate climate change. We aim to do that by offering a standardised risk assessment measure that leverages state-of-the-art technologies to communicate risk at a provincial and municipal level, by understanding site-level threats. Helping build a more climate resilient community, for all.

Site-level threats have also contributed to the Canadian housing crisis as more and more Canadians are moving into metropolitan cities with 57% of home-buyers considering climate change risk as a key factor for their decision on where to buy a home. With no proper measure of climate change risk, the problem will only exacerbate. Currently 10% of homes are uninsurable due to climate risk.
